HEALING TESTIMONIES

       " Having suffered with migraine headaches for approximately 18 years, I needed injections to alleviate the pain. The injections would barely relieve the pain enough that I could function and this had become a way of life. At times my migraines would last 3-5 days, a brief reprieve of a day or two, and then would start up again.  It got to a point where even the injected medications wouldn't work. I would call Pastor John on the phone for prayer. During those prayers, it was as though the pain and the cloud that filled my mind would just lift as I was touched by the hand of God. The Lord would do what the medication could not. I continued to pray for healing. One night while in prayer, the Lord made it clear to me that He was healing me at that moment, and He did! Migraines are now a rare occurrence in my life. 'Heal me oh Lord and I will be healed.'"Jeremiah 17:14

         "The infection on the bottom of my foot had reached the point that I had difficulty walking. My right foot throbbed so badly that I was barely able to stand. I was determined to be in the worship service, though. Then, about midway through worship, the throbbing just stopped!  When I returned home to remove the bandage and clean the infected growth, I realized that the infection was totally gone. Before my very eyes I saw the growth, which was approximately an 1/8 inch in diameter literally disappear from my foot. There was no hole left behind - it was completely healed! The skin had grown over the spot and there was absolutely no sign of the growth or infection that been there earlier that morning. "

         "I had taken five tests which indicated that my symptoms were a manifestation of an abnormal, cancerous growth which was spreading. But the Lord dictated otherwise. The healing hand of our Great Physician literally touched me one evening in prayer. The symptoms immediately ceased and I insisted that the doctors run the tests once again even though they told me it would be a waste of time. These same doctors called me with the results of the biopsy and other tests and repeatedly stated, "I don't understand this……I can't explain this…..I don't know why the symptoms stopped……the biopsy is negative…..now the other test is normal……I just can't explain this." This doctor laughed skeptically when I told her that I serve a God who heals and one who answers prayer. I stand here today as a living testimony that the Lord continues to work miracles today! "

         "I had suffered from asthma for over 12 years. It had progressed to the point that I could not even walk up a flight of stairs without wheezing and using my inhaler. After prayer, I had stopped suffering from asthma attacks for about two months - this had never happened before. Still in doubt, I silently inquired of the Lord during the worship service whether I had been totally healed. The visiting minister who was preaching that morning had received a word from the Lord and announced to the congregation that God wanted a woman there that evening to know that He had healed her completely of asthma. That minister did not know me, or that I suffered from chronic asthma, or that I had just asked the Lord this very question! I now only keep my inhaler as a reminder of what the Lord has done! "

         "As a result of an assault, I was diagnosed with a spinal fracture of my right wrist. Even with a brace immobilizing my wrist, I continued to suffer intense pain. Moments before service, just doing the simple task of turning a door knob would bring tears of pain to my eyes. When I came to the altar for prayer, the pastor laid hands on my wrist and immediately we were surrounded by the presence of the Lord. I felt an intense heat envelope my wrist. After the service, in faith, I removed the wrist brace - the pain was totally gone! I had been healed in the Name of Jesus. "

         "From the time I was a young child, I longed to die. Even the horror of an unknown death would have been better than being repeatedly victimized and sexually abused by those I thought I could trust the most - those who should have protected me. As an adult, this victimization continued with a life that was plagued with physical violence and sexual assault. I saw no way out, no purpose for living. I thought that even if there was a God, He would never have allowed this to happen. And if He did exist and was merciful, He would just allow me to pass from this earth and end my misery.
For approximately 8 years, I spent literally thousands of dollars on therapy and heavy doses of anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications. Nothing alleviated the emotional anguish and terror I felt every day, there was no peace in my life. I was plagued by nightmares and flashbacks of abuse. I lived in fear and would rock myself to sleep in a closet every night.
Then I had an encounter with Almighty God and was radically saved and filled with His Holy Spirit. God's Word says, "Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past, see I am doing a new thing." Isaiah 43:18-19 . He did just that! The Lord not only healed the emotional scars from my past, He taught me to forgive. He restored my peace and gave me for the first time in my life a real joy for living."
