                                                      2010 BQ NATIONALS UPDATE                    





      



For youth in grades 5 thru 12. Each quiz season (beginning in September), a different portion of the New Testament is studied. Quizzing is accomplished using electronic equipment. A variety of questions are asked at matches, ranging in difficulty from simple one-word answers to multi-verse quotations. Competition is against other teams in the state, the northeast, and, potentially, the rest of the nation. Recent statistics have shown there to be nearly 1,000 teams in the nation.

In recent years, Praise Assembly's Bible Quiz teams have advanced the AG Bible Quiz Nationals for five consecutive years from 2006-2010 and are hoping to return in 2011. In that time, Praise Assembly finished 23rd nationally in 2006, 16th nationally in 2007, 13th nationally in 2008, 5th nationally in 2009 and, most recently, 3rd in 2010.

Our team's travels have taken them all over the U.S., including: Detroit, MI, Chicago, IL, Philadelphia, PA, Pittsburgh, PA, Lexington, KY, Tuscon, AZ, Green Bay, WI, Springfield, MO and Kansas City, MO and Dallas, TX. But the excitement of travel is only one part of the picture. The discipline and daily exposure to God's Word and other Christian youth is what makes up the core of our ministry.
